Our warranty

What is Covered

This warranty covers blistering, cracking, peeling, or bubbling of newly applied paint or stain on top-level substrates, guaranteeing proper adhesion when applied to surfaces prepared by TPGR according to industry standards. When a covered failure occurs, TPGR repairs the affected area at no charge, including labor and the paint TPGR supplied.

What is NOT Covered

• Fading and Discoloration: Natural fading from UV exposure, weather, or time.
• General Wear and Tear: Damage from regular use, accidents, or misuse.
• Pet or Pest Damage: Scratches, stains, or damage from animals or pests.
• Previously Painted or Stained Surfaces: Issues from coatings or substrates not prepared or applied by TPGR.
• Drywall Issues Unrelated to Painting: Nail pops, house settling, drywall cracks, joint separations, holes, dents, or structural defects unrelated to the painting process. TPGR is not responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, or repairing drywall or structural concerns.
• Rot, Moisture, or Carpentry Issues: Underlying rot, moisture damage, water damage, or carpentry issues not repaired or replaced as part of the contract, including conditions concealed or inaccessible during the initial inspection. Such repairs are treated as additional work requiring a separate change order.
• Non-Adherence to Maintenance: Damage from improper cleaning, abrasive materials, or lack of routine maintenance.
• Third Party Work: Defects from work performed by other contractors.
• Environmental Factors: Damage from natural disasters, acts of God, extreme weather, or environmental pollutants.
• Vinyl Siding: Paint applied to vinyl surfaces, which may not adhere appropriately.
• Sheen and Color Flashing: Streaking, flashing, or visible texture in satin, eggshell, or higher sheen finishes, particularly with dark colors, when viewed at certain angles or under direct or raking light. This is an inherent characteristic of paint sheen and color, not a workmanship defect.

Conditions of Warranty

1. Claims must be submitted in writing within the warranty period, with a description and photos if applicable.
2. The affected area must remain unaltered. Tampering, repairs, or added coatings by others will void the warranty.
3. Repairs or prep work not in the original contract scope are excluded from the warranty.

Additional Repairs and Costs

Repairs for issues not covered by this warranty are the customer’s responsibility and require a new change order before work begins.

Limitations of Liability

TPGR does not warrant manufacturers’ paint or material products against manufacturing defects; those claims go to the manufacturer. The customer is responsible for proper maintenance of painted and stained surfaces. TPGR is not liable for damage caused by negligence, misuse, improper maintenance, third parties, environmental factors, or underlying structural issues.
